Cianjur, Bewarapakidulan.info – Seorang lansia yang kesehariannya mencari barang rongsokan pinggir jalan Raya Cianjur – Bandung tepatnya mulai dari Ramayana sampai Ciranjang yang jarak tempuhnya mencapai kurang lebih 20 KM.

Diketahui pria paruh baya itu bernama Bah Maman (60), dirinya berangkat dari rumah berbekalkan gacok dan karung kusam menyisir trotoar jalan mencari botol-botol dan gelas serta kardus bekas untuk dikumpulkan kemudian dibjualnya demi bertahan hidup.

Bah Maman memilik istri bernama emak Aroh yang sudah tidak sanggup bekerja lantaran usianya yang sudah renta. Pasutri itu tinggal di Sadewata, Kecamatan Karang Tengah, Cianjur bersama anak dan dua cucunya yang masih kecil.

Saat ditemui wartawan di jalanan, Selasa (30/06/2021), Bah Maman mengakui sudah 3 tahun menjadi pemulung rongsokan.

“Sebelumnya saya hanya kuli tani pak (Red*),” akunya.

Dia melanjutkan, setiap hari berangkat dari rumah sejak pukul 08.00 WIB, dan pulang sore bahkan sampai pulang larut malam.

“Abah berangkat dari rumah pukul 08.00 WIB, pulang kadang sore bahkan pulang malam. Dari Ramayana ke Ciranjang jaraknya mencapai 20 KM, sejauh itulah perjalanan abah hampir setiap hari,” ujarnya.

Sambung bah Maman, dari penghasilan setiap harinya, hanya mendapat Rp. 8000,- Rp. 10.000. Sementara untuk membayar kontrakan sebulannya Rp. 300 ribu.

“Dulu memang pernah mendapat bantuan dari pemerintah sebanyak dua kali. Yang pertama Rp. 500 ribu dan yang kedua Rp. 300 ribu, itupun dipotong seratus ribu tiap cair. Tapi sekarang malah nggak dapat sama sekali,” ungkapnya dengan nada lirih.

Dalam kondisi seperti sekarang ini, keluarga bah Maman tak jarang diberi makan dari tetangganya, Karena keluarga tersebut memang betul-betul layak dibantu.

“Abah ridho seperti ini daripada harus jadi pengemis meminta-meminta, Sekarang juga bukannya nggak malu suka di kasih makan sama tetangga, tapi karena keadaan mau bagaimana lagi,” pungkasnya seraya menahan pilu. (AC)
