Kapolri memberikan apresiasi tinggi terhadap kegiatan para alumni Akpol 1997 yang digelar di 34 Polda jajaran dan tiga negara yakni, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia dan Turki.
“Tentunya saya memberikan apresiasi kepada adik-adik saya angkatan 97 di seluruh wilayah yang telah ikut berpartisipasi dalam melaksanakan kegiatan vaksinasi dan bansos kepada masyarakat Indonesia yang saat ini memang sedang menghadapi situasi yang sulit,” kata Kapolri dalam sambutannya.
Dalam kesempatan ini, Kapolri mengingatkan agar jajaran Kepolisian terus bekerja optimal membantu Pemerintah dalam rangka pengendalian Pandemi Covid-19 diantaranya melalui penerapan kebijakan PPKM level 1 hingga 4 di wilayah seluruh Indonesia.
Strategi pengendalian diharapkan betul-betul dikawal sehingga efektif, bukan hanya dari sisi angka penurunan kasus Covid-19, melainkan juga jalannya pertumbuhan ekonomi masyarakat. Strategi pengendalian virus corona diantaranya penegakan protokol kesehatan dengan 3M (memakai masker, mencuci tangan dan menjaga jarak), penguatan 3T (tracing, testing dan treatment dan percepatan vaksinasi.
“Bagaimana kita kembali menuju ke kehidupan normal dan mengembalikan ekonomi yang sempat menurun karena situasi Covid-19. Di satu sisi bagaimana aktivitas masyarakat dalam rangka mengembalikan pertumbuhan ekonomi tetap bisa terkendali dan angka Covid-19 tidak naik lagi. Ini menjadi tantangan kita dan menjadi kebijakan pemerintah untuk mengatur antara gas dan rem agar seimbang,” tekan Kapolri mengingatkan.
Pada kesempatan tersebut, Kapolri juga menyempatkan untuk menyapa secara virtual pihak Kedubes Malaysia. Ia memantau langsung penanganan virus corona terhadap Warga Negara Indonesia (WNI) di negara tersebut.
Disatu sisi Kapolri berterima kasih terhadap seluruh personel TNI dan Polri serta petugas Dinkes yang selama ini bertugas tidak kenal lelah dalam upaya menurunkan angka Covid-19 sehingga angka kasus harian bisa ditekan menjadi 2.200 perhari, serta BOR RS yang sempat menembus angka 90 persen, saat ini hanya sekitar 12 hingga 15 persen.
“Positivity rate dibawah WHO 5 persen saat ini kita positivty ratenya 2,19 persen. Ini hasil kerja keras rekan-rekan yang tergabung dalam tim. Saya ucapkan apresiasi kepada seluruh anggota kita dimanapun bertugas karena telah bekerja keras melakukan upaya agar laju covid diturunkan,” ujarnya.
Meski demikian, Kapolri tetap mengingatkan agar masyarakat tetap mematuhi protokol kesehatan dan aparat terus bergerak melakukan sosialisasi disiplin protokol kesehatan hingga akselerasi percepatan vaksinasi demi mencapai target kekebalan komunal atau herd immunity masyarakat.
“Bagaimana harapan dari pak Presiden kita harus wujudkan. Kita harus bisa mengubah dari pandemic menjadi endemic. Kita harus bisa hidup dan terbiasa berdampingan dengan covid. Tentunya prokes yang kuat harus kita laksanakan, program vaksinasi kita tingkatkan sehingga masyarakat siap menghadapi kondisi tersebut,” imbau Kapolri.
Dalam vaksinasi massal ini, alumni Akpol 1997 menggelarnya di 34 Polda Jajaran serta tiga negara. Kegiatan ini akan berlangsung lima hari dimulai dari 18-22 September 2021. Adapun total vaksinasi yang ditarget dalam kegiatan ini sebanyak 63.400 dosis vaksin.
Terdapat pula sebanyak 36.350 item dengan rincian, paket sembako sebanyak 33.353 pax, bantuan voucher kuota internet untuk pelajar, santri dan guru sebanyak 1.997 voucher, serta bantuan voucher belanja 100.000 sebanyak 1.000 voucher kepada masyarakat kurang mampu, yatim piatu dan disabilitas.
