Manila – Belum lama ini Badan keamanan Filipina meningkatkan protokol keselamatan setelah Wakil Presiden Sara Duterte mengancam akan membunuh Presiden Marcos dengan bantuan pembunuh bayaran jika dirinya terbunuh.
Pernyataan keras tersebut menjadi sinyal kuat atas terjadinya perpecahan koalisi antara dua keluarga politik terbesar di Filipina yaitu klan Duterte dan klan Marcos.
Wakil Presiden Duterte menegaskan dalam sebuah konferensi pers bahwa dirinya telah bertemu dan memberi perintah kepada pembunuh bayaran untuk menghabisi Marcos, istrinya, dan Ketua DPR Filipina, jika dirinya terbunuh.
“Saya sudah bicara dengan seseorang. Saya bilang, kalau saya dibunuh, bunuh saja BBM (Marcos), (Ibu Negara) Liza Araneta, dan (Ketua DPR) Martin Romualdez. Saya tidak bergurau. Tidak bercanda,” tegas Duterte dalam konferensi pers yang diwarnai dengan kata-kata kasar, dikutip dari VOA Sabtu (23/11/2004).
“Saya bilang, jangan berhenti sampai kalian membunuh mereka, dan dia bilang oke.
Saat itu, Duterte sedang menanggapi komentar warganet yang menyarankan agar ia tetap waspada.
Komentar itu menyebut bahwa Duterte berada di wilayah musuh saat berada di majelis rendah Kongres bersama kepala stafnya pada malam hari. Duterte tidak menyebut adanya dugaan ancaman terhadap dirinya.
Menanggapi pernyataan itu, Komando Keamanan Presiden semakin meningkatkan dan memperketat protokol keamanan.
“Kami juga bekerja sama dengan lembaga penegak hukum untuk mendeteksi, mencegah, dan melindungi diri dari segala ancaman terhadap Presiden dan keluarganya,” tulis pernyataan badan tersebut.
Kepala Polisi Rommel Francisco Marbil mengatakan bahwa ia telah memerintahkan dilakukannya penyelidikan segera dan menambahkan,
“Setiap ancaman, baik langsung maupun tidak langsung, terhadap nyawa (Presiden) harus ditangani dengan tingkat urgensi tertinggi,” tegas Rommel.
Kantor Komunikasi Presiden mengatakan setiap ancaman terhadap nyawa Presiden harus selalu ditanggapi dengan serius.
Kantor Duterte tidak segera menanggapi permintaan komentar atas pernyataan tersebut.
Putri mantan presiden Filipina, Duterte mengundurkan diri dari kabinet Marcos pada Juni lalu, tetapi tetap menjabat sebagai wakil presiden.
Langkah tersebut membuat koalisi politik yang sebelumnya kokoh menjadi tumbang, padahal koalisi tersebut membantu Duterte dan Marcos meraih kemenangan elektoral 2022 dengan selisih yang lebar.
Ketua DPR, Romualdez, yang juga sepupu Marcos, telah mengurangi anggaran kantor wakil presiden hampir dua pertiga.
Ledakan amarah Duterte ini merupakan yang terbaru dalam serangkaian tanda-tanda mengejutkan dari perseteruan di puncak politik Filipina. Pada Oktober lalu, ia menuduh Marcos tidak kompeten dan bahkan mengaku pernah membayangkan ia memenggal kepala sang presiden.
Kedua keluarga terlibat perselisihan terkait sejumlah isu, termasuk masalah kebijakan luar negeri, dan perang mantan Presiden Rodrigo Duterte terhadap narkoba.
Filipina mencatat sejarah kelam terkait kekerasan politik, termasuk pembunuhan Benigno Aquino, seorang senator yang keras menentang pemerintahan Marcos senior.
