Kepastian itu disampaikan Panitera MK melalui surat panggilan sidang yang ditujukan kepada kuasa hukum pemohon tertanggal 27/9/2021.
Hal itu disampaikan Ketua Majelis Hakim MK Arief Hidayat sebelum menutup.
Sidang lanjutan uji materi Pasal 15 ayat (2) huruf f dan ayat (5) Undang-Undang Nomor 40 Tahun 1999 Tentang Pers terhadap Undang-Undang Dasar Negara Republik Indonesia Tahun 1945, akan berlangsung pada 11/10/2021 pukul 11 siang di ruang Sidang Pleno lantai 2 Gedung Mahkamah Konstitusi Jakarta dan alan disiarkan secara langsung melalui chanel youtube resmi milik Mahkamah Konstitusi.
Kuasa hukum pihak pemohon Vincent Suriadinata membenarkan surat panggilan yang dilayangkan MK melalui surat nomor 344.38/PUU/PAN.MK/PS/09/2021 yang ditandatangani Panitera Muhidin.
“Kami sangat mengapresiasi keputusan majelis hakim yang akan mendengarkan keterangan dari Presiden, DPR, dan Dewan Pers pada sidang nanti. Ini makin memperjelas uji materi UU Pers yang diajukan pemohon,” ujar Vincent.
Sementara itu, Hence Mandagi selaku salah satu pemohon mengatakan, keterangan pihak presiden dan DPR, serta Dewan Pers selaku pihak terkait sangat penting untuk bahan pertimbangan majelis hakim dalam memutus perkara UU Pers ini. “Saya berharap dari keterangan 3 pihak yang dihadirkan dalam sidang nanti akan menambah keyakinan majelis hakim untuk mengabulkan permohonan kami,” kata Mandagi yang juga menjabat Ketua Dewan Pers Indonesia dan Ketua LSP Pers Indonesia.
